No-Look Self Portrait

Project Description
The assignment was to do a self portrait in front of the mirror, but without looking at the page. The goal is to train your hand to do what your eye sees, and not what your brain thinks it's drawing.

My teacher didn't like the cover image shown here, and instead told me to do another one. The second one looks nice (albeit skewed), but I honestly see myself in the original. The face leaps off my head, but the face is mine, that posture is mine. What do teachers know!?
